Election assistance

The Village Office received a call September 23, 2019 from Debbie Ryan at the Elections Canada Office in Port McNeill.  They are planning on coming to Alert Bay to assist the elderly or people with mobility issues to vote.

If you know of anyone who needs assistance, please have them call (or call for them) toll free to 1-780-630-3733 to arrange for the Elections Canada Staff to go to their homes and help with their special ballots.

They are planning a visit at the beginning of October to the Extended Care Unit at the Hospital and would like to assist anyone else in the community that needs help at the same time – they just need to know who needs assistance.

Please help spread the word out there.
